My experience with Sankalptaru Tree Plantation

@NMK.world

“Plant a tree, so that the next generation can get air for free.”  I like to share my experience, and how I end up becoming one of the members of the Sankalptaru Tree plantation NGO. This Pandemic not only left the human race with chaos and constant fear, but also taught an important lesson about oxygen and its importance. Even though we all know the critical role oxygen plays in human life, we overlooked it with our busy and polluted Cosmopolitan life.

My planting experience

A few years before Pademic struck us, I purchased few indoor plants for my home decoration @ a reputed brand store in a mall. But unfortunately, the plant couldn’t survive due to a lack of sunlight. Common Question: Do indoor plants need sunlight? No in most cases. But still, for an unknown cause, it couldn’t survive. Later I brought few plants and kept them on our home deck. The same continued and I gave up the idea of having plants at home.

A birthday idea

On my husband’s 32nd birthday I wanted to surprise him with something special apart from throwing a party. Alike others I too started browsing for an Online gift to surprise my husband. After searching for hours I got nothing and I gave up the idea. But on one fine day, I happened to see an Ad post of one NGO where they provide options for you to adopt animals. I first thought of doing it. Later I decided to adopt a tree. Very enthusiastically I e-mailed them regarding basic details. I never got any reply from them to date.

The wonderful thought of adopting/planting a tree never left my head. I again started browsing for tree plantation organizations in India. Came across the Sankalptaru tree plantation NGO. I gifted my husband a tree in his name with a plantation certificate. He was so happy to see the gift I still remember his words “ No one can ever love me like you, happy to have you in my life”. I felt happy and satisfied both for his words and for contribution to mother nature.

Why Sankalptaru tree plantation NGO?

Sankalptaru gives a number of options for planting like occasions, festival plantations, Zodiac, and Native species plantations. Besides this, it also provides a photo of the tree which was planted along with the name tag of the planter on it and a link to know the exact location of the plant through google maps.

They have projects in almost all the states in India. Most importantly they provide Tax exemption under 80 G for planting a tree. The tree prices are very affordable so you can even choose to plant 10 trees. A person who plants 10 trees receives a goodies box which is a blessing from the farmer for your contribution.

How Sankalptaru tree plantation works?

Once you place an order by selecting the special date for planting, you will receive a certificate of plantation and a photo of the planted tree along with a google maps location link on the selected date. Go to ‘my forest’ page where you will see how much oxygen is being generated by your planted trees, a piece of very useful information. To know more about your tree, just click on the animated tree which has your name tag on it and will direct you to google maps and other details related to the project.

A person requires minimum of 4 to 5 trees to provide sufficient Oxygen in lifetime. So, plant a tree and save earth and yourself. You can do this either by purchasing a plant or tree from nursery near your home. Otherwise, join a NGO and plant a tree.

Keep Smiling and Keep Planting
