My first snowfall experience ❄️❄️❄️

Oh girl! What a pleasant snowfall. Weather plays an important role in upliftment of mood and psychical health. Based on the seasons, one’s health will change. During winter, we end up with flu 🤧 and while in summer, some people get skin rashes. Few like warm summer whereas some others like cold winter, but most of us like to enjoy the snowfall ❄️🌨️🌨️

Untill December 6th 2023, I never saw snowfall in my life, can you believe it? I am from tropical country, southern state of India. Snowfall is not something new, India is famous for snowfall and its beauty of North Eastern states especially Himalayan region.

Others to me : You must have been to Uttarakhand since you have written around 25 or so articles, about multiple tourist attractions there.

Me : Nah! My passion towards travel and work promoted me to write about Uttarakhand, but in reality I have never been there.

My first snowfall

Before Dec 6th there was a false alert regarding snow fall. I prepared myself by dressing accordingly and waited for the snowfall. I kept on looking through the windows for the snowfall. Unfortunately, that day it didn’t snow and I was disappointed.

A few days after I received the same alert message in my mobile phone regarding snow. Even though I previously faced a disappointment regarding snowfall, I eagerly waited for the snow.

I waited till 12:30 AM and couldn’t see any snow ❄️ and slept feeling disappointed again. Around at 3 AM got up check the time on my phone. As per the weather forecast it was snowing outside. I was too tired to get up and see through the window. I slept thinking its again a false alert.

Seeing snowfall for first time

At 6: 30 am I got up and checked the Weather alert once again and it was showing the snow alert. When I checked through my window, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The entire area was covered with a white blanket ❄️🌨️I was flabbergasted for few minutes.

Later I started shouting with excitement at my spouse who was in sound asleep its snowing outside.

I was so excited and happy I started jumping, then I ran and went to our porch to see snow and feel it by touching which was one of the amazing experiences of my life.

I went to snow world in 2013 along with my friends to experience the artificial snow, during my stay in Hyderabad. It was awesome but real snow experience ❄️ is entirely a different feeling.

Everywhere it is white – the sky, streets, cars, porch, house tops, grass, trees. What a surreal view! I was outside for sometime, then I took few photos in snow along with spouse.

We had a great time enjoying the snowfall during this 2023 and 2024 winter season along with our baby girl.

Next snowfall

My first ever snowfall was on 6th December 2023, I had to wait for one month to see next snow fall. The next snow fall was on January 7th 2024 and it was fun. First time in January we took our baby girl into snow ❄️ even though she couldn’t understand much, we wanted her to experience the snow.

We took few photos as it was memorable day. Overall it was fun at the same time need to suffer few some side effects, like sinus infection which lead to severe headache and nose block. Overall it was pleasure watching snowfall by having a hot cup of chocolate milk or Desi chai 😋.
