Did you ever got amazed by the fact, what we know about Outer space all happened in the past? No, let me clarify to you. Whatever we observe from Earth into outer space beyond solar system is all past event which happened long back.
For example, consider we are looking at nearest star which is Alpha Centauri. This star located 4 and half light years from earth. In simply words it takes light to travel four and half years to reach earth from the star. Forget about human travel it takes around 25 million years approximately.
GN-z11 is the furthest galaxy Hubble telescope captured which is 13.4 billion years, our earth is just 4.5 billion years old. Hubble telescope captured image of GN-z11 which happened before Earth formation. So, we are not aware what exactly happening at the GN-z11 galaxy at present. We are only able to see things happen in the past that is 13.4 billion years ago. Present what its condition is living being like us are there? no idea.
Let’s come back to our nearest star. We are only observing things happened four and half years back not the present one. So, whatever we know are seeing all past we have no idea about what’s happening at present moment.
